I was searching for the perfect place to book a romantic getaway with my partner for our anniversary when I eventually landed on the website of the Forsthofalm Hotel in Leogang. The idea of spending time there, hidden in the Leoganger Alps, sounded so incredibly tempting that we quickly booked a room - and our expectations were far exceeded.

Even the drive through the dense forest until the hotel appeared before us with its unique wooden construction was simply enchanting. We were greeted with a glass of champagne and led directly to our Hidden Forest Suite, idyllically hidden amongst the fir tops. We were particularly impressed with the suite's amenities, including a private sauna – ideal for a romantic break for two.

Exploring the hotel was an experience in itself, with the spa area becoming especially dear to our hearts. However, a definite highlight was the rooftop pool on the hotel's terrace. Swimming under the open sky and enjoying the togetherness was simply a dream. The crowning end to our short trip, however, was the romantic sharing-style dinner, accompanied by a few glasses of wine.
