Assistant Head of Restaurant (M/F/D)

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar
  • Manage your own service station while ensuring smooth service in accordance with service standards and quality guidelines
  • Support the leadership, motivation, and development of the service team
  • Assist with staff scheduling and the coordination of team deployment within the restaurant
  • Ensure outstanding guest satisfaction through professional guest care and effective complaint handling
  • Drive upselling initiatives, support revenue growth within the restaurant, and contribute to the development of the wine list, bar menu, and beverage selection
  • Organize and manage table reservations in the absence of the Restaurant Manager
  • Assist with ordering supplies and monitor deliveries and inventory levels
  • Conduct daily team briefings and support training sessions and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Work closely with the kitchen, bar, front office, and other hotel departments
  • Take responsibility for the restaurant operation in the absence of the Restaurant Manager

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Completed training in hospitality or hotel management (e.g., restaurant service or hotel administration) or equivalent professional experience
  • Several years of experience in service, ideally as a Chef de Rang or in a similar position
  • Excellent knowledge of food, beverage, and wine
  • Experience in guest relations and complaint management
  • Understanding of key business figures and sales promotion
  • Knowledge of hygiene regulations and allergens
