Our cancellation policies depend on which rate you book.

Cancellation Policy for Standard Rates

The following cancellation fees apply:

31 days or more before arrival: free cancellation possible
30 days before arrival: 70% cancellation fee
7 days before arrival: 90% cancellation fee
Late arrival/early departure: 90% cancellation fee

After booking confirmation, we request a deposit of 25% of the total amount.

Contact us to arrange travel cancellation & travel interruption insurance with our partner, Europäische Reiseversicherung AG.

In case of No-Show (failure to commence the vacation), the hotel will charge the applicable fees via the credit card provided.

For timely cancellation of the (standard rate):

We are happy to issue a voucher for the full amount of the deposit paid for a cancellation within the agreed cancellation period - no additional costs will be incurred. If a refund of the deposit is preferred instead, a processing fee of EUR 25.00 will be deducted.

Cancellation Policy for Flex Rate

0% deposit, free cancellation until 7 days before arrival (by 6:00 PM). Payment is made directly at the hotel.

Cancellation Policy for Non-Refundable Rate

Your reservation is guaranteed and can no longer be cancelled or changed free of charge. In case of no-show or cancellation, 100% of all booked services will be charged.

Cancellation Conditions: 

For group reservations, the Austrian Hotel Contractual Conditions apply - the Forsthofalm cancellation policies are not valid here.

As an adults-only 12+ hotel, teenagers from 12 years old are welcome.

We guarantee check-in until 3 PM. If your room is ready earlier, you are welcome to occupy it. Check-out is until 11 AM.
On your day of arrival, you can use the Sky Spa all day; on your day of departure, you can use it until 6 PM. 

We offer a complimentary arrival and departure shuttle! For this, it's best to call our reception about 30 minutes before your arrival. We will pick you up at the valley parking lot or the train station. The valley parking lot is located at the start of the access road to the Forsthofalm.

Additionally, we have fixed shuttle times. These are also free of charge.

Departures from the Forsthofalm to the Asitz Valley Station:
9:15 AM, 11:15 AM, 3:15 PM, 5:00 PM, 6:30 PM, 9:00 PM 

Departures from the Asitz Valley Station to the Forsthofalm:
7:40 AM, 9:50 AM, 11:40 AM, 3:30 PM, 5:15 PM, 6:45 PM 

If you wish to join one of these scheduled rides, please let our reception know!

For any additional shuttle trips, we charge €20 per ride. Please arrange your ride at the reception!

IMPORTANT INFO for arriving at the Forsthofalm by car

Google Navigation directs you from Saalfelden via a forest track ("Rain") that is closed to car traffic. Please do NOT use this route under any circumstances!

If you are following (Google) Maps and coming from the direction of Saalfelden, please be sure to stay on the main federal road until you turn off towards "Schwarzleo" – our flag is also posted at the roadside there! Otherwise, you will be directed onto a forest road ("Rain") which does not provide access to the hotel and is closed to cars!

Motorway A8 towards Rosenheim (D) - Change motorway towards Innsbruck (A) - Motorway exit Oberaudorf - Niederndorf - Walchsee - Kössen - Fieberbrunn - Leogang 

Alternative from Germany (Toll)
Rosenheim - Kiefersfelden - Exit Kufstein Süd (The section of the A12 Inntal motorway from Kiefersfelden to the Kufstein-Süd junction is currently toll-free) - St. Johann/Tirol - Fieberbrunn to Leogang or Motorway exit Siegsdorf via Lofer to Saalfelden - Leogang 

TIP for E-vehicle owners: There are dedicated e-charging stations directly at the hotel. Vacation in the heart of nature – recharge not just yourself, but also your car with energy for the next day.

Arrival by Train
You can find current train connections on www.oebb.at or on www.bahn.de. The nearest destination train stations are "Hochfilzen", "Saalfelden", "Leogang Bahnhof". We are happy to organize a complimentary station shuttle for arrival and departure upon prior reservation.

Our Forsthofalm Travel Tips

Arrival during Peak Season

If you are arriving during peak season, we recommend avoiding arrival times between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM, as higher traffic volumes are expected during this period.

Travel in the morning! This way you avoid delays on the roads, and our hotel offers an excellent breakfast service for early risers.

During winter, we recommend winter equipment for your car! Be sure to have proper winter equipment for your vehicle. We advise you to carry snow chains, as difficult road conditions can occur, especially during snowfall.

Departure during Peak Season

If you are departing during peak season, we recommend avoiding departure times between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, as higher traffic volumes are expected during this period.

Depart early in the morning or treat yourself to another relaxing vacation day in the mountains. Departing after 2:00 PM is generally a much more relaxed experience for you.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your dog in the suites and in our Hill Side Rooms. We charge €44 per pet per night. Dogs are NOT allowed in our restaurant. If your four-legged friend doesn't like being alone and shouldn't wait in the room, we offer you a table at the bar for your meal.

Additionally, we offer the weekly Mountain Life program with three daily yoga & fitness sessions, which can be held indoors or outdoors depending on the weather.

Summer is considered a paradise for hikers and bikers; whether downhill or e-bike tours, the region is famous and ideal for it. The Forsthofalm is located in the heart of the Bikepark Leogang.

In winter, the Forsthofalm, as a ski-in – ski-out hotel, is situated directly on the ski slope of the famous Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn area, and nothing stands in the way of your ski experience.
