Arriving in the High Season
If you are coming here in the high season, we recommend trying to avoid arriving between 12 noon and 5:00 p.m., since traffic jams are possible during this time.
Our Tip!
Arrive earlier in the morning! You'll avoid unnecessary delays on the roads and our area hotels offer outstanding breakfast service!

In Winter: Winterize Your Car
Be sure that your vehicle is equipped for winter driving conditions. We recommend good winter tires and, under certain circumstances, snow chains. Road conditions can become very difficult in snow.

Departure during High Season
If you are leaving during high season, we recommend that you avoid leaving between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., since traffic jams are possible during this time.

Our Tip!
Either leave early in the morning, or treat yourself to an extra vacation day in the mountains. Your trip home will generally be significantly more relaxing if you leave town after 2:00 p.m.
